# Review technical SEO & AEO changes

> Why technical fixes matter, what RankAI fixes, and what you need to do.

**Search engines and AI tools can only rank what they can read.** Technical fixes make your pages easier to find and understand, such as clear titles, meta descriptions, image alt text, and structured data.

<Note>**Action needed once:** [install the RankAI script](/integrations/technical-seo-script). After that, review and switch on the fixes you want.</Note>

<Info>**In RankAI:** Sidebar → **Technical SEO** · `rankai.ai/dashboard/<project>/code-change`</Info>

## What RankAI does

* Audits your site and lists technical issues by page.
* Suggests a fix for each issue.
* Applies the fixes you switch on through the script, without editing your CMS.

## Your options

1. Open **Technical SEO** in your project.
2. Review each issue, the affected page, and the suggested fix.
3. Switch on the fixes you want.
4. Open the affected page and check it looks right.

## Avoid these mistakes

* **Skipping the script check.** Run **Check Script Connection** after installing; no script means no fixes.
* **Switching on fixes you haven't read.** Check that each fix fits your page before applying it.
* **Expecting instant ranking changes.** Search engines need to recrawl a page before a fix counts.

## What to expect

* Your **SEO Fixes** count on the **Analytics** page shows the fixes switched on from your latest audit.
* Some issues need a change in your CMS or code. If RankAI can't apply one, it stays on the list.
