# Review and publish an article

> Choose how much control to keep: review every article, or let RankAI publish automatically.

**You decide how much control to keep.** Review each article before it goes live, or turn on automatic publishing once you trust the results.

<Note>**Action needed:** choose your publishing mode, and check your first article on your live website.</Note>

<Info>**In RankAI:** Sidebar → **Keywords & Content** → **View** → **Publish**. Automatic publishing: **Settings** → **Site Integration** → **Auto Publish Blogs** · `rankai.ai/dashboard/<project>/content`</Info>

## Two ways to publish

| Mode | How it works | Good for |
| - | - | - |
| Review first | You open each article, check it, and click **Publish**. | The first few weeks, or regulated industries. |
| Automatic | Turn on **Auto Publish Blogs**. RankAI publishes new articles and rewrites on schedule. | Once the first articles look right. |

## Publish an article

1. Open **Keywords & Content** and click **View** on the article.
2. Check the **URL Slug**, **Title**, and **Meta Description**, then click **Save** and **Publish**.
3. Open the article on your website in a private browser window and check the title, text, images, and links.

For [Framer](/integrations/framer), sync the plugin and publish your site. For a [website built with code](/integrations/custom-site), your site fetches articles through the API.

## Avoid these mistakes

* **Turning on automatic publishing before checking one live article.** Confirm the destination, layout, and images first.
* **Assuming Save publishes.** **Save** stores changes in RankAI; only **Publish** updates your website.
* **Editing in your CMS.** If an article shows **Out of Sync with CMS**, decide which version to keep before publishing again.

## What to expect

* Published articles show up in your CMS like any other post.
* RankAI keeps improving published articles. See [Rewrites and updates](/workflows/optimization).
