# Connect Google Search Console

> Authorize Google search reporting for the website in your project.

Google Search Console (GSC) reports your website's performance in Google Search. RankAI uses the connection to support search reporting and keyword planning.

<Info>**In RankAI:** Sidebar → **Settings** → **Site Integration** → **GSC Connection** · `rankai.ai/dashboard/<project>/settings`</Info>

## Prerequisites

Use a Google account that can access the verified Search Console property for the domain in your RankAI project. If the property does not exist, create and verify it in [Google Search Console](https://search.google.com/search-console).

## Connect

1. In RankAI, go to **Settings** → **Site Integration** → **GSC Connection** and click **Connect**. During onboarding, use the **Setup Analytics** step instead.
2. Click **Connect Google Search Console**.
3. Sign in to the Google account with access to the correct property.
4. Review the permissions Google presents and complete authorization.
5. Return to RankAI and wait for property verification.
6. Confirm the connected state, then open **Analytics** to check the project and reporting period.

## Expected result

RankAI verifies access to the website's Search Console property. Data availability depends on the property, reporting period, and Google's processing.

## If verification fails

Confirm that the RankAI domain matches your intended property and that the authorized account has access. Complete ownership verification in Google if needed, then retry. If you authorized the wrong account, repeat the connection with the correct one.

Do not create a second project just to retry authorization. For persistent errors, send the project domain, error message, and time to [support](/support/contact).
